Not all vessels successfully navigate the Columbia River Bar, but Kama Hele made safe passage in and out during slack tide. Today was a long day, focused on a specific destination in order to position for the final leg through the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Location at 7:00 PM Friday showed them getting close to Cape Flattery, where they’ll head east and anchor tonight in Neah Bay, eta 9:00 PM. With the long days in northern latitudes, Bob and Eric hope to drop anchor while there is still daylight.

Great pictures and commentary. We’re familiar with Neah Bay having camped there and also landed at the airstrip. Safe travels!
